With the Government proposing to move Religious Education into the National Curriculum, ISRSA is pleased to publish a briefing setting out why we formally dissented from the drafting process behind the proposed Programmes of Study, and why we believe the resulting curriculum is built on the wrong educational framework.
This briefing explains what's being proposed, why ISRSA does not accept that the reforms reflect "genuine consensus" across the sector, and why we believe Religious Studies should remain rooted in the academic disciplines of theology, philosophy and the study of religion.
